When did you discover your passion for beauty?
I grew up in a household of beauty obsessed women. My grandmother, mother, and aunts always had their hair, nails, and makeup done. Growing up It became something I admired and longed to be a part of. My grandmother really fostered my love of products. She worked as a Sales Consultant for Mary Kay Cosmetics and AVON part-time, so I was always surrounded by beauty products.
You’re an ingredient expert with a flawless glow, what’s your recommendation for a starter skincare routine?
When starting a new skincare routine, you want to keep the routine as simple as possible. Focus on hydration and barrier repair. Add a few treatments into your routine that target specific skin concerns that you have. A basic routine: Cleanse, Tone, Hydrating serum, Moisturizer, SPF (am). When you establish a basic hydrating and barrier repair routine, you can then add in an exfoliant (1-2 nights a week) and treatments like a retinol or niacinamide serum.
The term “influencer” is still relatively new, what does it mean to you?
The term influencer to me mean’s that my audience and following trust my instincts and knowledge on products. I’m more of an educator than an influencer. When I share products and skincare that I love, I educate my audience on why I love the product, the standout ingredients in the product, and how it could be beneficial to them and their skin concerns.
Power statement/personal motto?
“My worth is non-negotiable”
What’s does your current daily schedule look like?
My “typical day” has changed a lot since Covid-19 and the Stay at Home orders here in New York. Typically, I would balance treating clients in my Spa about three- four days a week, while also managing various social media projects and campaigns. Now, I’m working completely from home so I’m still treating clients but virtually. I truly enjoy my work and may career, so about 90% of my day I’m working on my business. Whether that’s virtual consultations for clients, shooting and planning social media content, or working on brand campaigns – I’m always working!
How do you keep your community engaged?
I keep my community engaged by consistently educating and sharing knowledge that’s beneficial to them. Skincare can be an overwhelming and confusing arena when you’re new to it. I create content that’s concise, educational, but also fun. This keeps my community engaged, but also eager to learn more and looking forward to further posts.
Do you ever take a tech break?
No! I’m consistently on my computer and phone working. It’s definitely something I need to work.
What do you look for when searching for a new beauty brand?
Things I look for in beauty brand: unique brand identity, quality ingredients, innovative formulas, inclusivity and diversity within corporate, social media, and brand marketing material. I also look for brand authenticity and transparency.
Any skincare/beauty trends you’d nix if you could?
DIY Skincare, Greenwashing, and fear mongering from skincare brands. Brand need to learn to educate the consumer instead of fear mongering and scaring them from using certain ingredients and products!
You’ll never do this one thing when it comes to your skin?
I’ll never over exfoliate (again) – sometimes I get a little too excited when using new exfoliants!
Tips for upcoming influencers and established influencers?

How do you stay motivated?
Seeing myself complete goals and reach may dreams keeps me motivated. I’ve worked so hard for my career and to be respected within my industry. Whenever I get discouraged or stressed, I just think about everything I’ve sacrificed and how hard I’ve worked to be able to do what I love. I’m far from being where I want to be, but I’m proud of how far I’ve come.
